Join us for ‘brunchfast’ and more at Taste Training Restaurant!

Offering delicious breakfast to brunch options, the Brunch Club at the WhitCo Taste Training Restaurant is a convenient self-service staff canteen offering grab-and-go options, including delicious hot breakfast sandwiches and a selection of hot and cold beverages. Open to all those who work in Thrapston and the surrounding areas, the Taste Training Restaurant invites you to enjoy a delightful dining experience.

Food and drink sales at the Taste Training Restaurant contribute to Jeff’s Way CIC Limited, which is a registered, non-profit community interest company. Prices reflect the organisation’s ethos to provide affordable quality through all the food and drink that it serves. All funds go towards placing students into work experiences to enhance their future career development.

The weekday menu is also based on a staff and visitor restaurant, reflecting the requirements of the clients for whom WhitCo designs kitchens and restaurants, and this can be seen in manpower, machinery and ingredients required to produce and deliver the menu.

Our Head Chef Kamil Podgorski, a recent graduate of Northampton College, is also a winner of the prestigious Jeff’s Way award and will soon complete his Stage at the Waterside Inn. Kamil looks forward to welcoming visitors for coffee or tea, cakes, pastries and scones and a delicious “brunchfast” a hot sandwich – a variation of an English Breakfast in a scrummy white bloomer.

Kamil is just 18 years old and he is the first chef to test a new training programme called Masterchef to Masterbusiness. As well as developing his skills, he will move from ‘canteen chef’ to ‘corporate dining chef’ to ‘fine dining chef’ as he transforms the Taste Training Restaurant into multiple uses for different clients. During the WhitCo trade events ‘Test and Taste’ on Tuesdays and Thursdays, he will be demonstrating the innovative kitchen equipment to support the sales team and their customers. We are now looking for another Chef to join his team!

The venue will also host corporate and private events and is available for hire, from a business lunch to a fine dining experience, all of which is tailored made to suit individual needs and budget. We offer everything from a buffet to a fine dining experience, where the full range of Chef Kamil’s culinary skills will be on show and on our tastebuds!
