Planned maintenance (sometimes called planned preventative maintenance or PPM) keeps your appliances running longer, better and more efficiently. Aircraft are serviced regularly based on the time they spend in the air. A car being serviced every 10,000 or 20,000 miles is a typical example of an asset with a usage-based preventative maintenance schedule.
