News from WhitCo

In the eleven years of the Carlsberg Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards, we’ve seen the competition grow increasingly fierce and the standards rise year on year.
This year was no exception and the competition saw record numbers of entrants too. Whitco has always been proud to sponsor the Restaurant of the Year Award, which showcases the best that the county has to offer in fine dining. During the judging period, panel of secret diners visit the establishments and report back on what they’ve found.
The category was so closely contested this year that the judges were unable to separate the two leading contenders. The result was the first joint first prize in the category’s history.

Sharing the honours for Restaurant of the Year (in no particular order, as they always say on Strictly) were Murrays Resturant at Whittlebury Park Golf Club, and Tresham Restaurant at Rushton Hall.
Pictured above is the team from Murrays and below is the presentation to Tresham Hall with chef Liam Goodwill.
