The winner of the Editor’s Merit Award for 2023 is Vita Whitaker of Whitco Catering & Bakery Equipment.
This accolade was first introduced last year and recognises an individual that has stood out for their desire to make a difference to the sector.
Vita Whitaker has overseen a long and detailed project to transform the face of Whitco Catering & Bakery Equipment really come to fruition within the last few months.
While kitchen design and catering equipment supply remains at the heart of the company’s business model, its operation now transcends training, networking, fundraising, education and mentoring – all things that contribute to the future of the hospitality industry and which are key pillars of its newly opened Experience Centre.
Mrs Whitaker is always keen to stress that nothing can be achieved without the unwavering dedication of the company’s loyal staff and partners. And while that may be true, she still remains the driving force behind its vision.
