WhitCo and Jeff’s Way foster future chefs with exclusive placements

We are proud to announce that Jeff’s Way CIC Limited, which operates WhitCo’s Test kitchen and Taste training restaurant, has generated enough sales this year to sponsor three culinary graduates from Northampton College. These exceptional students have been awarded exemplary work placements with renowned chefs and venues across the UK.

Recent additions to the JW Alumni:

  • The Jeff Whitaker Award 2024 > Billie Reynolds from Northampton College – doing her Stage at The Dorchester Hotel from 4th Nov to 8th Nov
  • Student Chef of the Year > Alfie Gravett from Northampton College – doing his Stage with Chris Galvin at his Michelin Star Restaurants Galvin Bistrot & Bar and Galvin La Chapelle from 4th Nov to 8th Nov
  • Hospitality Student of the Year > Madison Lewis from Northampton College

Kamil Podgorski recently completed his training under Chef Alain Roux at The Waterside Inn, Bray. This invaluable experience serves as a prestigious addition to Kamil’s growing resume. As the first chef to pilot the new ‘Masterchef to Masterbusiness’ programme, Kamil transformed his skills in the Taste Training Restaurant, evolving from a canteen chef to a corporate and fine dining chef. His progress has helped secure a position at the Woburn Golf Club.

We are incredibly thankful for the hard work and dedication of Northampton College and other FE and HE educational institutions in nurturing the future of the hospitality industry. These remarkable chefs-in-training are truly shaping the future of our industry and will continue to uphold the highest standards in their careers.
